It’s Time for Bullfights

Water temps are up and big Gills are in shallow. Yes we love dropping bobbers on em and pulling a jig, but have you tried the drop shot for gilld around the spawn? By keeping the weight on the bottom a drop shot allows you to fish heavy. This means you can keep your bait small and finesse even in strong wind. When it’s blowing out you can cast directly at your target and not have to play the wind like you do with a bobber. We use either a small jig without a plastic keeper or a number 10 Aberdeen hook and a shortened living leech. Sometimes we switch it up and use 2 panfish bites to mimic that big life. Either way a drop shot rig should definitely go in your spring Bullfighting aresenal.
